Restoration of a historic garden dates back to the 1750s when part of the site formed a public garden.

Create developed a plan for the restoration of old paths and walks and new elements of contemporary landscape design. New sculptures and contemporary planting were introduced.

Areas of historic plant groupings were introduced in areas where they were complimentary around the old parts of the building and new contemporary planting was used elsewhere.

Focus on biodiversity and support to increase species was also an important theme in the design and plant selection.

The garden now forms part of the National Garden Scheme.
