D.K.H.A.P. Indoor Centre

Location: London

Sector: Education/Charity

Client: D.K.H.A.P.

This project is for the Dog Kennel Hill Adventure playground charity and proposes a new indoor centre for the children.

The Indoor centre is designed as a playful, child-centred building that compliments the external activities going on around it. The centre’s wooded setting and a strong connection to the outside prompted our proposed use of timber and glass.

An internal mezzanine increases the limited space available whilst the central double-height space provides a light and flexible environment for the children to play in. The building is flexible in terms of use and can be easily changed in the future to accommodate different activities.
